AUPL: Kitata Off the Mark as SC Villa Cruise Past Proline

Alex Kitata opened his scoring account at SC Villa as the Jogoos registered a 3-0 win against Proline at Mandela National Stadium, story Namboole on Tuesday in the Azam Uganda Premier League.

The powerful forward who joined the Nsambya based club in July this year from the Saints gave the hosts an early lead when he headed home Godfrey Lesibawa’s cross just after 13 minutes.

The visitors made a quick change with midfielder Samuel Kintu paving way for Farouk Musisi Kizito in the 24th minute but Villa remained dominant and kept pilling pressure on Proline.

Swift winger Abdumalik Vitalis Tabu doubled the lead for the hosts four minutes after the half hour mark with Lwesibawa registering his second assist of the day to give the Jogoos a comfortable halftime lead.

Midfielder Dennis Kamanzi struck the third goal for Villa just eight seconds after restart with Lwesibawa remaining the creator to put the game beyond Proline’s reach.

Mujib Kasule, view the Proline head coach  brought on Noordin Bunjo and Joshua Okiror for Saidi Kyeyune and Nelson Senkatuka respectively but the changes failed to make any change.

The result means SC Villa moved from fourth to second position on 11 points and yet to concede a goal after five games while Proline drop from 10th to 13th with four points
