A 1-0 win against Express in the league was followed by another victory with the same score in the Uganda Cup against Police to march to the semifinals.

They take on JMC Hippos that have already suffered the drop. However, KCCA FC manager Mike Mutebi is cautious about that and indicates they will not take the game lightly.

“It is an important game for us and therefore we are not undermining our opponents despite the fact that they are already relegated. We play with them in the same league and they would want to end the season on a good note,” he told the club website and indicated that the next games will be used as preparation for the Total CAF Confederation Cup group games.

“We do not have much time between now and the start of the Confederation Cup games, so the league games starting with the one against JMC Hippos will act as preparation games,” he added.

KCCA FC make the trip with a depleted squad with several key players missing. Allan Okello is away with school engagements.

Muzamir Mutyaba still has a week on the sidelines same as Brian Majwega who is also out injured.

Defenders Timothy Awany and Paul Musamali are also out of the tie and youngster Peter Magambo is expected to partner Habib Kavuma at the heart of defence.
