URA FC (yellow) in a previous match at Lugazi.

URA FC look to maintain their dominance over Police FC when the two sides meet on Friday in the Azam Uganda premier league match day 16 to be played at the Mehta stadium in Lugazi.

Both sides suffered defeats on Tuesday as the second round of matches commenced. URA FC fell 3-1 to their fellow tax collectors KCCA FC but will look for inspiration from league top marksman Robert Sentongo who became the first man to hit double digits with his consolation goal in the 3-1 loss.

Coach Kefa Kisala has been boosted by the appointment of fellow Caf B licensed tactician (both awaiting CAF A results) Livingstone Mbabazi. The soft spoken coach rues defensive lapse in the loss to runaway leaders KCCA FC but believes the mistakes have been rectified in the last two training sessions

“We were unlucky against KCCA FC on Tuesday however we have used the last two days to correct our mistakes in Defence and goal keeping areas, this ” URA FC coach Kefa Kisala said after the prematch training.

Defender Savio Kabugo and Midfielder Nicolas Kagaba will have to pass late fitness test if they are to feature for the tax collectors in Friday’s clash.

The policemen come to this game with an upper hand considering that they are the best away team in the topflight currently boasting of five wins with no loss in eight outings.

Head to Head.
URA FC have enjoyed a remarkable record when the two sides have met. In the last thirteen games, they picked six wins; three home and same away while Police have a single victory which came in April 2013 away. The last five games between the two clubs saw both teams finding the back of the net, Infact nine out of the last 13 have witnessed both sides netting.

A win will propel the hosts to third place while any positive result for Police maintain the sratus quo.

Therefore, with Ssentongo’s scoring form and URA porous defense, we are braced for a thriller.
