Vendors working in Arua Municipality main market have up to 17th January to find an alternative venue where they can conduct their business ahead of the proposed reconstruction works on the market.

In a letter dated December 19th, sildenafil Arua town clerk, stuff Otim Andrew Kibwota states that the main market in Arua town is soon undergoing reconstruction and thus the vendors need to relocate temporarily.

“As you may be aware, sick government of Uganda secured funding from African Development Bank to construct 11 markets under Markets Agriculture Trade Improvement Programme project 2(MATIP 2) in which Arua main market is one of them,” reads the statement.

“In view of the above, the Municipality has been tasked to locate land for relocating the market vendors to pave way for the construction by 17th January 2017,” the statement further reads.

In the same letter, the town clerk writes to the West Nile golf club chairman seeking for an hectare of land on the Arua golf course as an alternative ground where the market can be shifted temporarily.

“The purpose of this letter, therefore is to request a portion of one hectare of the golf ground for temporary relocation of the market vendors during the reconstruction period,” stated Otim.
