Internal Affairs Minister, tadalafil http://celiac-disease.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/json-endpoints/class.wpcom-json-api-list-comments-endpoint.php Gen. Aronda Nyakairima and Inspector General of Police, this web Gen Kale Kayihura  have met the United States Federal Bureau of Investigations operatives who are helping the police in investigating the murder of State Prosecutor, Joan Kagezi.

The meeting took place on Thursday morning between 8:20am to 10:30am at Police Headquarters, Naguru where the two teams briefed each other on the headways made so far and the underlying challenges affecting the high profile investigations into the murder in which the element of terrorism is not yet ruled out according to sources.

Aronda and Kayihura were flanked by the entire police investigation team in the matter led by the Criminal Intelligence and Investigations director, Grace Akullo whom the incident happened not far from and was the first police officer to arrive at the scene.

“The agents (FBI) came here this morning and met with the minister (Aronda), IGP and CIID Akullo and her detectives. The agenda was mainly the preliminary outcomes of the investigations of Kagezi and what next.” A source from the Police Headquarters says.

The FBI joined the investigations on Uganda’s request, given that the assassinated official was the lead prosecutor in the trial of July 2010 twin bombing suspects.

In an interview with journalists recently at Serena hotel, Gen Kayihura revealed that the Americans are largely part of the efforts meant to bring culprits in the murder of Kagezi to book.

“Apart from ourselves, our friends (FBI) are obviously with us was the case after the 2010 Lugogo bombings. The world is now networked as a global village for both law abiding citizens and criminals,” said Kayihura.

The numbers of FBI operatives in the country for the same is not yet known and several attempts by this reporter to get the details from police and FBI have so far proved futile.

We understand however, that 60 FBI agents entered the country after 2010 bombings and over three quarters returned back to US that very year leaving only few who followed them later.

When contacted on phone, the police publicist Fred Enanga confirmed the development but did not divulge details saying it is not for the public.

“Yes the meeting took place here but it is strictly for the investigation and not for the public,” he retorted.

Gen. Aronda also confirmed in the Parliamentary Committee of Defense and Internal Affairs that the IGP whom the Members of Parliament wanted to grill could not make it since was still with the FBI agents.
