Army Court Sets Hearing Date For Kabaziguruka Case

Makindye General Court Martial chaired by Lt Gen Andrew Gutti has set the 8th November 2016 for commencement of the trial of Nakawa Municipality MP Hon Michael Kabaziguruka and 24 others who are charged with treachery and Aiding and Abetting Treachery.

The lead Prosecutor Maj. Raphael Mugisha informed court that investigations in the matter are complete and asked for the hearing date to be set.

Defense counsels Eugene Kabagambe and Maj Asha Patra asked court to order the state to disclose to them in time all documents they intend to rely on in this trial which court did.

High court judge Justice Yasin Nyanzi set the 20th October as the date for hearing this bail application.
