Female kickboxer Patricia Apolot successfully defended her intercontinental title with relative ease.
The leading female Ugandan kick boxer who continues to rise in prominence defeated Abdalla Katerina over the weekend in Santoril, this site Greece.
Apolot also known as The Black Pearl defeated Greek top seed Katerina with unanimous decision to defend the World Kick Boxing Federation female light weight title winning it for the third year in a row.
The 26 year old first won the title on 27th June 2015 defeating Serbia’s Ivana Mirkov in Dunaujvaros, Hungary.
She went ahead to retain the title last year defeating Hungarian fighter Anita Nagy.
Apolot has won several accolades since rising to prominence in 2011 including national championships in 2014 and 2015.
She has also won at East Africa inter club kick boxing champions and African titles.
Apolot’s next fight will be this Saturday at Lugogo indoor stadium against Carina Greinel from Austria in the night dubbed “Reign of Giants II”
