APAA CRISIS: Man Shot in Pabbo

A man has been allegedly shot and injured by police in Pabbo trading center in Amuru district.

The victim who has been identified as Simon Otekayot Geoffrey was immediately rushed to to Pabbo Health Center III by the Kilak north Member of Parliament, viagra 60mg Gilbert Olanya.

The bullet hit the left arm of Otekayot who seems to be in his early 20s.

When contacted on phone, Olanya confirmed the incident, saying police are failing to manage the already bad situation.

“It’s very unfortunate that the police is turning guns on the people who are suffering and been forced away from their homes,” Olanya said.

The Aswa Regional Police Spokesman, Patrick Okema Awany told ChimpReports that he heard about the incident but he was yet to verify.

“I have of some incident in Pabbo but I’m yet to cross check and get back to you,” he said.

The contested Apaa village was in Labala parish which is in Pabbo sub county before the government survey of September 2015 declared that it was in Adjumani district.

Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda was in the area today Monday to help efforts in defusing the tension in the area.
