The national leaders from Acholi sub-region on Saturday visited the scene of the horrible killings in Apaa village.
On Wednesday suspected Madi community armed with arrows, order bows and panga attacked Acholi occupying the contested 42 square kilometers in Apaa that is claimed by both two tribal groups.
The death toll from the attack has reached 5 while 12 people are still missing and 27 critically injured people are admitted at St. Marys Lachor Hospital Gulu, patient with more than half of them on oxygen.

On Saturday, Acholi leaders led by Democratic Party President General, Norbert Mao, converged in the area and talked to the frightened neighboring communities.
The Gulu municipality Member of Parliament, Komakech Lyandro told the terrified residents that as a member of the house committee on Defense and Internal Affairs, he is going to table the matter on the floor of national assembly when business resumes.
“I am appealing to all of you here not to lose hope. In Parliament I sit on the Defense and Internal Affairs committee that handles matters of this nature,” Mr. Komakech said in local language.
The disputed village had originally been in Labala Parish, Pabo Sub County, Kilak North County in Amuru distict. However in September 2015 government declared that the area is in Adjumani district and belongs to Madi tribal groups.
Acholis who have been in the area since pro-independence were asked to leave in a move which is allegedly influenced by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Gen. Moses Ali.
