AMISOM Speaks Out on Fatal Accident

An AMISOM Armored vehicle was involved in a fatal accident on Sunday

AMISOM have come out on last Sunday’s fatal accident in the Somali capital Mogadishu, viagra sale in which a total of 4 civilians were killed in a crash involving one of its armored vehicles.

The accident took place Sunday night when an Amisom armored vehicle hit a mini bus in Alamada between Afgoye and Mogadishu. The force puts the deceased at four while local media say more than 12 will killed in the crash.

The joint peace keeping force said in a statement that it regretted the deaths of the civilians.

Preliminary reports according to AMISOM indicate that a minibus ferrying passengers, troche attempted to overtake an AMISOM armored personnel carrier, but got in the way of a speeding oncoming omnibus. To avoid a head-on collision with the oncoming vehicle, the minibus swerved and rammed into the AMISOM convoy.

The convoy was immediately driven to a nearby police station, where the matter was reported. The accident resulted in four deaths and fourteen injuries.

“AMISOM deeply regrets this tragic and unfortunate incident and is currently meeting with the Somali Police, the local administration and elders over the incident,” said AMISOM spokesperson Lt Col Joe Kibet

“AMISOM will carry out thorough investigations with the relevant federal government of Somalia agencies and will make available more information in the course of the enquiry.”
