AIDF Summit to Tackle Aid Delivery Dev’t Strategies in EA

Uganda Revenue Authority FC are the country’s sole representatives in the upcoming Mapinduzi cup that kicks off on 2nd January 2016.

According to the fixtures that were released on Sunday evening, for sale the tax collectors are pooled in group A alongside Tanzania giants Simba SC, sales Jamuhuri and JKU both from Zanzibar.

Group B will see money bags Azam FC and Yanga clash for topspot together with Mafunzo and Mtibwa Sugar. All matches will be played at the Amaani Stadium in Zanzibar with Pay TV company Azam expected to air it live.

URA FC kick start their campaign on Saturday 2nd January against JKU in the tournament opener before clashing with Simba on Monday and finally ending the group games on Wednesday against hosts Jamuhuri.

The top two teams in each group will play each other in the semi finals and finals respectively.

KCCA FC absence:
Earlier on the organisers had sent out invitation to KCCA FC but a source inside the club revealed that it was turned down.

“We cannot manage to honor the game due to unavoidable technicalities. First we are nursing a lot of injuries and would not want to escalate the situation. Furthermore most of our(KCCA FC) first team players may be called for the Cranes Chan team, viagra approved ” he told Chimp Sports.

Over 250 representatives from governments, order UN agencies, NGOs, donors and private sector companies will on February 2, 2015 gather at the United Nations Conference Centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the Aid & Development Africa Summit.

The Summit will focus on how technological innovations and best practice can improve aid delivery and development strategy in East Africa.

The agenda has been developed in consultation with key organisations, such as WFP, IRFC, World Vision, USAID, UNICEF, World Bank, Save the Children, UN Habitat, CRS, Oxfam, Habitat for Humanity International, IRD and will include case studies, panel discussions, workshops, and interactive round table sessions.

AIDF Africa Summit 2016 will provide comprehensive overview of the latest trends around humanitarian logistics, community health, WASH, security of aid workers and communities, camp management, mobile for development, financing, communication with communities and among aid agencies.

Anne Signe Hørstad, Project Coordinator, Transparency International Norway will join Rishi Ramrakha, Head of Zone Logistics Unit, Africa, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in the panel on humanitarian logistics and supply chain challenges, which will address challenges of last mile logistics: how access has changed in some regions among others.

The Aid & Development Africa Summit 2016 speakers include, H.E. Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, Chairperson of the African Union Commission and Nardos Bekele-Thomas, Resident Representative,

The two day event will combine high level strategic information with multiple specialist topic tracks and structured networking as well as peer-to peer round table discussions enabling full and frank sharing of views, experience and vital feedback within the community.
