AFCON 2019: Sserunkuma’s Late Strike Hands Uganda Perfect Start

Uganda Cranes made sure they got their 2019 African Cup qualifying campaign to a perfect start, viagra sale putting up a brilliant performance to earn a hard fought win against Cape Verde Islands.

Veteran striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma came off the bench to score as Uganda edged Cape Verde 1-0 in the game played at the Verzei stadium on Sunday.

Initially the game was scheduled to take place on Saturday but was postponed after delays in travel of Uganda’s contingent from Dakar to Praia.

Despite the challenges, find Uganda managed to put up a brilliant performance to claim victory away from home.

Team coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic had a seemingly defensive side start the game with a couple of rare figures.

Bernard Muwanga who plays for SC Villa started at the heart of defence alongside Jjuko Murushid.

The deciding moment came in the 83rd minute when substitute Geoffrey Sserunkuma tapped home Geoffrey Walusimbi’a ground cross.

Sserunkuma had come on for Emma Okwi at the 80th minute mark.

The result means Uganda now lead group L on 3 points with Tanzania and Lesotho level on one point apiece while Cape Verde are bottom with no point.
