Nine players have been dropped from the Uganda Cranes squad currently in preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations slated for January in Gabon.
Head coach Milutin Sredojevic had promised to trim the squad to twenty players before Christmas break to give space for four more foreign based players who will fly in after Christmas.
Among those dropped include Onduparaka and Vipers SC centre backs Rashid Toha and Halid Lwaliwa.
SC Villa duo of Joseph Nsubuga and Martin Kiiza are also out of contention together with 2016 Uganda cup MVP Erisa Sekisambu. His teammate Keziron Kizito also failed to jump the huddle.

The remaining composition breaks off on Saturday for Christmas break but will unwrap their gifts with training on Boxing day.
Four more players will be dropped on 30th December before flying to Tunisia for a friendly.
