Afcon 2017: Mohammad Salah Joins Egypt Camp

As the kickoff of the 2017 African cup of Nations draws nearer, sales several teams are in final preparations with many players joining team camps.

Egypt’s star Mohammad Salah joined Hector Cupper’s camp in training on Tuesday after arriving from Italy where he plies his trade at Serie A side AS Roma.

Salah who had an ankle injury concern at the start of last month that saw him sit out for three weeks has recovered in time ahead the African cup of Nations championship.

The Egyptian winger joined teammates in training in Cairo on Tuesday as they prepared for a friendly game against Tunisia on 8th January.

The other player who joined the Pharaohs in Tuesday training is Stoke City winger Ramadan Sobhi.

Only two players are yet to join Hector Cupper’s camp with Hull City’s Mohammad El Mohamady and Arsenal’s Mohammad Elneny with the latter performing Umrrah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The duo is set to join the rest of the team on Wednesday.

Egypt are in group D alongside Uganda, Mali and Ghana and kick start their campaign on 17th January against Mali.

Midfielders: Mohamed Elneny, Tarek Hamed, Ibrahim Salah, Abdallah El-Said, Amr Warda, Ramadan Sobhi, Mohamed Ibrahim, Mahmoud Hassan ‘Trezeguet’.

Forwards: Ahmed Hassan ‘Koka’, Ahmed Gomaa, Marwan Mohsen, Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim ‘Kahraba’, Mohamed Salah
