Afcon 2017: Mali Release 26 Names for Morocco Camp Ahead of Finals

Coach Alaine Giresse has released a 26-man squad that will start training for the upcoming 2017 Africa cup of Nations.

European based players dominate the squad that was named on Friday morning during a press conference that was held at the FEMAFOOT headquarters in Bamako.

The Eagles will fly to Morocco for a 14-day camp where they’re expected to play a series of buildup matches including against Burkina Faso.

“We will prepare in Morocco, seek ” Giresse was quoted by Mali football.

“The idea is to go on January 1st up to 14th and then head to Gabon three days before our first match against Egypt.”

“We shall play Burkina Faso and probably another team that will be training in Morocco, ” he added.
