Afcon 2017: Arsenal’s Elnenny Named in Egypt Provisional Squad

Mohamed Elneny has been named on Egypt's squad

Egypt national team boss Hector Cupper has named 27 players for final preparations ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

The Pharaohs are in Group D alongside last year’s finalists Ghana, order Mali and Uganda.

The coach has included English premier league stars Ahmed Elmohamady, Ramadan Sobhi and Arsenal FC’s Mohamed Elneny together with AS Roma star Mohammed Salah.

The team is set to kick off camp on New Year’s day and will run for about a fortnight.

The squad comprises four goalkeepers, ten defenders, nine midfielders and four strikers.
