Aegis Trust to Showcase Research Work on Post-Genocide Challenges

The first group of authors will present in a one-day conference themed “Rwandans Researching Rwanda: Social Science Perspectives on Post-Genocide Challenge” at the Umubano Novotel Hotel on Wednesday, July 27th.

The 10 research projects were commissioned by Aegis Trust’s Research, Policy and Higher Education (RPHE) programme and funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).

The Aegis Trust’s Research, Policy and Higher Education Programme is designed to bolster the Rwandan research community and to increase its voice in international academic debates and domestic policymaking through provision of research grants, expert advice and training to researchers.

“The conference will highlight the main findings of the researchers’ projects and allow them to gather final feedback before they submit their work to peer-reviewed journals.” Sandra Shenge, Research, Policy and Higher Education Programme Manager, Aegis Trust. .

A second group of authors is currently working on a different set of projects which will be showcased at a similar conference in 2017.
