Noelina Nabulya, a resident of Kawempe Zone B has called upon the LC.3 chairperson Nabweru sub county, Maseruka, to come to their rescue by replacing some household property destroyed by the heavy rains.
Nabulya, however, blamed the management of Kinawa High school Kawempe that failed to construct big drainage channels leading to floods in the area.
“For the last 10 years that I have stayed in my home, floods began disturbing me after the construction of the school,” said Kinalwa.
Local authorities were yet to come to Kinalwa’s rescue by by the time we posted this story.
The incident comes against the backdrop of severe floods in Kasese that left at least 7 dead and a trail of destruction on Wednesday.
