In his speech at the expo which is expected to end on May 5, the Kabaka appreciated the work of various stake holders in supporting this annual event.
The Minister of Urban Development, Rosemary Najjemba who was present at the expo, promised to provide more support to Buganda government through the Buganda Land Board in fostering urban development.
“Through this, the government is going to set up 200 urban centers in Buganda,” she noted.
She said urbanization in Uganda is moving at a higher rate but occurring in a disorganized way which the government plans to improve.
However, the Chairman Buganda Land Board, Male Kiwalabye expressed dissatisfaction on the number of committees in the central government handling land matters.
He added that this has led to a lot of confusions and wrangles on land matters.
Meanwhile, various sponsors were awarded for their support in making the expo successful including WBS television, Central Broadcasting Services (CBS), Ministry of lands urban planning and Development, Jomayi Properties among others.

Some of the companies that participated in the event include Statewide Insurance Company, Uganda Revenue Authority, Jomayi , H.B Matovu property consultants among others.
Among the prominent people who attended the function was Kampala Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, Rubaga Municipal Mayor Nabbosa Ssebugwaawo, Rubaga North M.P, Hon Moses Kasibante and other Dignitaries from Mengo government.
