In an interview with Chimpreports on Tuesday evening, the state minister noted that it is not the Khartoum government directly supporting the rebels but rather some officials within the government.
“There are some officials in the Khartoum government who give aid and any other form of assistance to Kony’s rebels,” noted Oryem.
Media reports over the weekend showed that the government of Bashir had provided sanctuary to Kony in Sudan.
It is said the LRA warlord was residing at a tightly-guarded area near a Sudan military base.
He therefore noted that government is soon finding a permanent solution to Kony.
“The only solution that we now have is not complaining to the world but rather kill or capture Kony,” stressed the state minister.
Sudan denies the allegations. however, Khartoum has for the last 20 years provided Kony with military logistics food supplies and intelligence, leading to death of thousands and displacement of millions.
