Police authorities confirmed the shooting took place at exactly 1:30pm after Wafula found Wabwire having unprotected sex with the former’s sister in-law in broad day light.

The girl who was reportedly in a sexual act with Wabwire has been positively identified as Evelyn (other name withheld on ethical grounds). She is 14 years old.

A source said the deceased took the advantage of being Wafula’s neighbor to seduce Evelyn into sex.

7:10pm: A police officer has been shot dead in a deadly gun battle at a Kampala Police barracks, Chimp Corps report.

Source says a one Wabwire shot a colleague at Jinja Road Police Barracks after a slight quarrel on Sunday afternoon.

“Wafula fired several rounds using an AK 47 rifle which killed a cop. We are investigating the matter so we shall give you more information later. We are still in shock,” said a source who preferred anonymity as she was not authorized to speak to the media.

Observers say cases of indiscipline among security forces are on the rise.

Two soldiers were early this month gunned down by a colleague at the UPDF General headquarters, Bombo Military Garrison Barracks.
