Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Ibin Ssenkumbi said he was yet to get a briefing on the matter.

The Wednesday arrest followed a complaint by a parent who claimed his seven-year-old kid had blamed his teacher for the anal rupture and stomach pains.

Chimpreports understands the accused is currently detained at Ssissa sub-county police post.

Flanked by his mother, the little boy recorded a statement at the Police post, accusing Isabirye of coerce him into painful anal sex.

“I managed to dodge him and flee after feeling a sharp pain,” the boy told detectives.

When news of Isabirye’s arrest spread in the area, four other boys voluntarily gave information to police, pinning the teacher in sodomy acts.

“One day teacher (Isabirye) came home to charge his mobile phone. He asked me to follow him to a maize garden where he abused me,” said a boy attached to St. Kizito, Sanda.

Other two boys from Sacred Heart Nalubudde in Ssissa sub-county, Wakiso district also faulted the teacher of abusing them, according to Police sources.

A case file number CRB09/28/01/13 has been opened at the police post as investigations get underway.

The victims were taken to Entebbe Police station for medical checkup.

The development comes against the backdrop of leaked photos showing national football team, Cranes’ manger, Chris Mubiru sodomising boys.

Police have of late recorded an increase of sodomy cases especially in Primary and secondary schools.

The Ugandan law prohibits sodomy though activists say there is need for an amendment for clarifications on “unnatural acts.”

Parliament is expected to debate the Anti-Homosexuality Bill this month.
