The politician was accused of engaging to electoral malpractices that included vote buying during the nominations campaign. The Tribunal had returned the matter to the National Alliance party Officials to solve.

According to his Lawyer Paul Gichuki, someone had raised false accusation to the Tribunal against his client who handed it to the party.

By Afternoon on Friday, the Electoral body cleared him and presented a nomination certificate to contest in the march 4th general elections.

John Kihagi will yet again face Immediate Former Legislator for Naivasha John Mututho who decamped to NARC in the March 4th general elections. He had defeated the incumbent in the nominations for the National Alliance Party with over 10,000 votes to clinch the ticket.

Kalonzo Musyoka is the immediate former mp of Mwingi North and has represented the constituency in parliament since 1988 and he clinched the seat on a by election. 2 minutes later Kenyans made their winning try by Willy Ambaka which was subsequently converted by Biko Adema to put the final score at Kenya 21-20 South Africa. South Africa failed to convert all their tries and saw them loose to the pride of Africa men.

In the quarter finals (Bowl) France beat Wales 33-12; Fiji beat United States 29-12 to book a place in the semis while Canada bitterly beat Tonga 28-5 as the Spaniards beat Portugal 26-19 to book a place in the semis.

In the Cup quarters England beat Scotland 31-7 while Samoa bitterly beat Argentina 31-7. Kenya beat South Africa 21-20 while Australia was edged out by New Zealand 5-24.

The losers in the bowl quarters met for the Shield semi finals where Tonga won their first game in New Zealand by beating Portugal 7-17 while Wales beat USA 15-17 to proceed to shield finals

In the Bowl semi finals Spain lost to Canada 7-31 while Fiji beat France 19-17.

The losers of the Cup quarters met at the plate Semi finals where Scotland beat Argentina 35-5 and Australia beating South Africa 28-12 making the South African loose all the games they play this weekend in New Zealand.

New Zealand will now face Samoa to battle for 3rd place while Kenya will battle it out for the finals with England who qualified after beating Samoa 21-19.
