Musisi Must Account For Tax Payers Money, Says Lukwago

Lukwago emphasized that Musisi had on several occasions failed to attend the KCCA council meetings and that something should be done about it.

“It has been agreed upon in the meeting to form a committee so as to engage the Minister in charge of Kampala to explain and resolve the issue of the Executive Director failing to attend council meetings,” said Lukwago.

A committee of five has been formed led by the Deputy Kampala Lord Mayor, Sulaiman Kiddandala, to struggle and see that they engage the Minister for a period of two weeks when the council will be sitting.

Kiddandala said that his committee is to ensure that this time round it engages all relevant institutions to help with the ever increasing problem.

However, councilors are wondering if the parliament came out and audited the Office of the Prime Minister. “Why can’t the Parliament come out and audit the office of the Executive Director who has failed to give accountability to the authority to which she is accountable to,” demanded the councillors.
