He said this while addressing journalists today Monday at FDC Party headquarters in Najjanakumbi.

“If you steal, you are praised instead of being punished. It is so unfortunate that those who have embezzled public funds are being defended by the President,” he added.

Toterebuka commented on the withdrawal of donors from different countries because of the OPM scandal. “It was high time for the donors to notice that their money is being swindled by the government and for them to set restrictions on it,” he said.

He called upon the media to continue exposing corrupt people and condemning them. “We must continue condemning the corrupt who use their money to perpetuate the government and get away with it. This will scare them,” he added.

He also condemned the police for taking partisan side as they carry out their duties. “The Police acts on orders from the president. How long will the authority keep blocking people from participating freedom of expression?” he lamented on it.

Toterebuka said this because people were stopped from mourning the looting of billions of public funds by the Office of the Prime Minister, which was supposed to take place today at UMA show grounds.
