Police identified the suspects as Kenneth Namanya, a resident of Mosque zone, Kibuli, and Kenneth Matovu alias Kizito of Seguku, off Entebbe Road.
Ssentongo had given the vehicle to his driver to use it for special hire on October 23 when the suspects lured the driver that they wanted to use the vehicle on self drive basis.
However, upon receiving the car, the duo disappeared before switching off their phones.
Subsequently, a case was registered at Kabalagala Police Station.
Police traced and arrested the suspects in Lubowa.
Upon interrogation, they confessed being part of the racket that targets cars from hotels and people willing to offer them for self drive.
They confessed that six months ago they robbed a Land Cruiser from Kidney Hotel in Rubaga division, Kampala.
They stole another Land Cruiser from a hotel in Kiwatule, Toyota Progress from Prestige Hotel, Ipsum from Christ the King Church and a Noah from Makindye Mubarak Zone.
The interrogation is still ongoing, according to a brief Thursday statement from police.
Cases of car theft are on the increase in Kampala.
