Bulange Explosion Death Toll Rises To 5

Five people have so far succumbed to death including the mentally ill woman who died instantly, Richard Sebuguzi who was working with Buganda Land Board, Captain Stephen Kisitu Mivule who was leader of Kabaka’s Protection Unit, Betty Nakanwagi who was the support staff to the security guards and now Aisha Nayiga who has been one of Kabaka’s guards as well as the secretary to the security office. Two people have been discharged including Hussein Kibombo and Katende FC both Kabaka’s guards.

A “mad woman” reportedly blew up the security house after being intercepted at Bulange’s main gate on a mission to harm a Mengo official last Wednesday.

Police Fire experts discovered that the fire started near an armoury which is also near the area where the arrested woman was detained.

A jerry can of petrol was recovered from the scene.

Police are still investigating the case.
