The office of the Rwanda President on Tuesday told this investigative website:

“The celebrations of the 25th anniversary of RPF- INKOTANYI will culminate into a national ceremony at the Amahoro Stadium on December 17th.”

President Paul Kagame led RPF guerilla war between 1990 to 1994 to topple the genocidal regime of Juvenal Habyarimana.

His government has since been credited for turning around a country wounded by the 1994 atrocities before modernizing infrastructure, boosting the economy, developing social welfare, securing health care facilities and maintaining defence and security.

These developments have earned Kagame respect and popularity among his citizens as well as envy from the international community.

During the conference, participants will discuss the liberation struggles in Africa and challenges the continent is facing in their aftermath.

In a related development, the 10th two-day edition of the National Dialogue (Inama y’Umushyikirano) will also be held starting December 20.

20-21st December.

The annual two day event brings citizens from all walks of life for a frank exchange of views and asking of hard questions is encouraged.

The dialogue is noted for providing a platform to citizens who are likely to expose leaders they feel are underperforming.
