“The delegates’ conference is due to take place soon but there is no money. We haven’t collected even enough for the elections, http://cineaverde.com/wp-admin/includes/credits.php we are begging well wishers to provide the money,” said Wafula.

He told journalists that Shs 300m is needed for the elections. “Shs 300m is needed to run this activity, however we have cut it down to Shs 250m but even that we do not have,” he added.

Wafula said that one of the reasons why some individuals and companies have not given in money is because they are scared of the government.

He also addressed the issue of constant harassment of their leader specifically on the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga’s remark that it is Dr. Kizza Besigye’s fault that he is being punished by the Police.

“The system of turning victims into failures is fascist. Dr. Kizza is not begging for mercy but for his rights,” he said. “It is unfortunate that Kadaga a person who is seen to be a fairly based person could say such a remark,” he added.
