2 Cops “Seriously Injured” As Vehicle Carrying PLE Exams Overturns

medical geneva; font-size: small;”>The accident occurred on Sunday at Kalandazi in Buwama, in Mpigi district. The vehicle registration number UAN 462X Fusso truck was transporting the examination material to Masaka and Rakai districts.

The injured were identified as Sgt. Ambura and PC Kasajja, the two Police Officers who were escorting the materials and one unidentified UNEB official.

The three were rushed to Buwama health clinic for treatment. They were seriously injured.

The unidentified driver took off after the accident.

“The boxes containing the materials remained intact and Police has secured the boxes,” Police said in a brief statement.

“The cause of the accident was due to reckless driving and over speed by the driver of the Fuso truck. Police has contact UNEB officials in Kampala over the incident.”

At least 560,000 Primary seven candidates are sitting their examinations across the country.
