The 2015 Eskom Jinja Golf tournament is already underway with 30 gross and professional players taking to the course at the shores of Lake Victoria.
The competition was teed off with the players beginning with 18-holes and will continue in the afternoon with the final half to make it 36-hole.

The competition is an annual event organized by the Jinja club and sponsored by Eskom Uganda limited.
Eskom has sponsored this year’s edition to a tune of Shs100m on top of giving the overall winner a full year sponsorship.
The amateur participants will play 18-holes on Saturday from morning before the closing ceremony later in the evening.
Eskom sponsors the event as part of the CSR to the community around and also to promote talent in the country.
“The promotion of Golf and our sport to Jinja Golf club is one of the many ways Eskom exhibits its shared value with the community in which we operate. We are also promoting talent. Two of our previous winners were a part of the Africa Zone VI challenge,” Ms. Nokwanda, the outgoing managing director of Eskom Uganda explains.
