He told the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon.Oulanyah Jacob that the bus operators defaulted on payment of Shs 8m to the district for operating on Gayaza Road in the 2007/8 financial year.
Pioneer Easy Bus has threatened not to engage in any further negotiations with Local Governments until Parliament disposes off a petition against the Company filed before Parliament.
There have been reports that Pioneer Easy Bus is on the brink of bankruptcy.
The company has never paid even a single coin in taxes to KCCA since the year started and have vowed not to, citing breach of some terms in the contract with the city authority.
It had also promised to deliver more buses to reduce traffic in the city but this appears to be far from reality.
