One of the suspect survived being lynched when he tried to run away.

Police last night received complaints from people that there was a taxi Registration Number UAH 032B plying Entebbe-Kampala route whose occupants were robbing people.

“They were mainly targeting passengers who were waiting for a taxi when they are alone,” police said in a statement on Wednesday.

“Police detailed its intelligence to trail the taxi and today morning, the vehicle was sighted at Abayita and on impounding it the occupants tried to run but they were arrested.”

On searching the vehicle, Police got several ladies bags, razor blades and other suspected stolen properties.

They are currently detained at Entebbe Police Station and they will be charged with simple robbery.
