The Minister informed him that among the resolutions made was the need for 4000 foot soldiers to manage any threats arising in the Eastern DRC and a military assessment team comprising of officers from the regional forces to be set up to ensure that the forces are adequately facilitated.
He informed him that the ’Region will be seeking support from the UN on the deployment, financial and logistical support.
