Sources said the detonable bomb was planted in a loudspeaker.

“Officials at the Ministry quickly alerted police. We swiftly responded by dispatching a Bomb Squad and Counter Terrorism team to diffuse it,” said an intelligence source.

The development could heighten fears of a possible terror strike on the city as the country celebrates the 50th Independence Anniversary Celebrations at Kololo ceremonial grounds.
