Olympic gold medalist ASP Kiprotich Stephen preached selfless belief in God and urged the congregation to always pray and fast for whatever they want to achieve.

“Through discipline, patriotism and hard work, Uganda will move very far,” said Kiprotich.
The Bible society of Uganda rewarded Kiprotich with a special bible filled with testimonies of other sports personalities who have achieved fame with belief in God.

The 14th National Prayer Breakfast was attended by delegates from Congo (DRC), Nigeria, Kenya,Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Ghana, South Africa, Botswana,South Sudan, USA, Germany, Malaysia, Austria, Hongkong ,India,and Pakistan.

Speaker Kadaga Rebecca introduced the Special guest from Nigeria Mrs Helen Mark wife of the Nigeria senate President, who has represented Mrs Jonathan Good Luck, the first lady of Nigeria.
She said the national prayer is an exhibition of the country’s reliance on God

Helen decried the acts of conflict across the continent noting that Christians must struggle to reverse the cycle of violence through prayer.
For national transformation, you must redouble your faith and prayers in God.

“May God continue to bless Uganda and the African continent,” said Helen Mark on behalf of the Nigeria First Lady.
“Although public expectations are very high, the needs and resources are naturally limited. For Uganda your commendable achievements are visible across the country. It is good for you to celebrate 5o years of independence.”
