IPC coordinator Omar Kalinge Nyango says the youth denied the charges.
“But they were denied bail by Magistrate Gordon Muhimbiso, who refused to hear any plea from the accused’s lawyer Mr. Boniface Ngaruye,” said Nyango.
“Since their arrest they had been denied access to their families and lawyers. Hitler Kamanyisa is still in great pain and has not received any treatment.”
Police have insisted no protests will be allowed in Kampala until the end of the 50th Independence Anniversary celebrations due October 9.
