Bukenya Worried As 2 Constituents Are Slaughtered

Kasese Woman MP Winnie Kiiza said murders are escalating all over the country. She blamed the police investigative unit for delayed feedback on cases.

Internal Affairs minister Hilary Onek called on MPs to report all cases of criminal activities in their areas to the Parliament Police Post.

Onek said the Police was serious on corruption and fighting criminality but are being let down by numbers.

“There are not enough police officers to cover the whole country,” said Onek.

Recent police statistics show that at least 10 people are killed every day in Uganda.
