The minister further said so far 16 heads of state have confirmed their attendance for the celebrations and different representatives from different organizations such as Agakan and UN have also confirmed.
She added that billboards showing different former presidents of Uganda have been designed in honor and remembrance of their efforts for the growth and development of this country.
The minister said the parliamentary speaker Rebecca Kadaga billboard has also been made since she is the first woman speaker in East Africa which clearly portrays the level of emancipation in this country.
However, the minister said that the celebrations are not about individuals but about Uganda as a nation and therefore urged all Ugandans not to follow those who “sow wrong seeds” to hinder them from attending the celebrations.
The opposition have publicly said they won’t participate in the celebrations but will instead be “mourning.”
She said opposition leaders were “myopic and incapable of focusing on the future of the country.”
