The squad, who will train together until the match next Saturday, has five strikers, 10 midfielders, eight defenders and three goalkeepers.

“At some stage next week everyone should be here,” said Bobby after Wednesday’s training at Namboole.

“We’ve been working hard with some players that have not been active with their clubs, the Wasswas (Hassan), the Massas (Geoffrey), and that’s what we’ll continue to do.

“Hopefully we have all 26 players in time so that we can start focusing on Zambia proper. As I said this is not the end. Some players could be added or reduced in times of injuries and the like.”

Uganda need to score two goals without reply to be stone-sure of qualifying for the Nations Cup in South Africa next January/February.

The African champions, Zambia, take a 1-0 first leg advantage into the tie at Namboole. A 2-1 loss or a draw of any kind for Zambia would see coach Herve Renard’s side qualify.
