Kyambadde last week stormed Centenary Park gardens to stop a planned demolition exercise by what he described as “KCCA thugs.”

“Musisi is a terrorist. Why is she spoiling President Yoweri Museveni’s popularity in Kampala? You KCCA people are nothing but thugs,” charged Musisi.

Kyambadde clarified that all KCCA orders that tend to disrupt activities of businessmen must be endorsed by the ministry of Trade.

“We are in complete charge of the entire business community. Even this policeman who undressed and humiliated Sarah Nnalongo (Godfrey Nyakana’s wife) in public has been arrested and will be penalized.”

She condemned the violence applied in the violent exercise.

“Jennifer has not been involving all stake holders. She should tone down because I have found confusion and her lack of respect for Ugandans,” said Kyambadde.

The Minister later held a meeting with KCCA officials where she was later quoted as having apologized to Musisi.

But Kyambadde today said “Musisi has her own spin doctors in the media” who twisted her statements.

“I have never apologized to Musisi,” she affirmed.

She further said Museveni is usually not adequately informed about the operations of KCCA.

Kyambadde promised to table all her recommendations in relation to the KCCA demolition exercise before Cabinet this week for discussion.

She, however, slammed police for falling short of “protecting human rights and property” of Ugandans “which is their mandate.”

Interestingly, during the TV programme, Presidential Spokesperson, Tamale Mirundi, called in, saying Musisi was a “nonperformer who is only harassing Ugandans and lacks the spine to run KCCA.”
