The other camp is coming up with those allegations,” said Mafabi.

He defended himself on the issue of being accused to be tribalistic saying he has always preached nationalism in everything he does.

“I am nationalistic and to prove it right I even have no Mugisu person on my team, most of the people are northerners and westerners,” he said.

Mafabi’s strategists were recently quoted in media as questioning Muntu’s nationality and even tribe.

Mafabi also commented on the issue of mobilizing funds for the party saying he has been occupied with other activities unlike his colleagues who have been members of the fundraising committee long before he joined.

“I became a member of the fundraising committee this year in March and I have not been able to mobilise any funding since I have been occupied with other activities like the presidential elections,” he said.

He assured the press that he is the person fit for the leadership seat by giving an example of a person who had money and needed a builder but his mother wanted money too.

So the man had to give some little money to his mother and the rest to the builder who had to do a more important job that would benefit him.

“Therefore FDC members electing me as their leader (builder) will benefit them because I have the capacity to build this Party as the President,” said Mafabi.
