Kampala metropolitan Police Spokesperson, site Patrick Onyango has revealed that Jinja Road Police Station is investigating circumstances under which the house in which film crews of Kinetic Management and Savanna Moon were residing was broken into and thugs made off with property worth millions of shillings.
In a statement released today, site Onyango said that the thieves broke into the house located in Lakeside Villas between 3:00 am to 4:30 am on 30/12/2014 and stole property valued at US$76, order 000.
“The properties stolen include; a camera math box, camera lens, camera body, desktop computers, laptops, DVD players and hard drives,” Onyango noted.
He further said Police were informed about the incident and detectives swiftly started investigations that led to the arrest of three suspects.
The Three are currently detained at Jinja Road Police Station to help with investigations.
“Our investigations show that the burglary was organized. At around 3:30am, thieves gained access into the house through the living room. They proceeded to a room where the gadgets were kept, packed everything and left the scene,” the statement showed.
It is believed that the thugs struck when the crew had just finished shooting the last episode of “Beneath the Lies” TV series.
“The thugs timed the crews when they had gone out to relax after a long day’s work. Our officers are still scrutinizing CCTV footage to find possible clues,” said Onyango.
