The controversial legislator was released on bail by Magistrate Julius Borole after presenting sureties.
Borole ruled that Nsereko returns to court today (wednesday) for mention of the case.
Nsereko was on Monday arrested over the incident that occurred a few meters away from Gaddafi National Mosque.
Musobya reportedly lost two teeth and sustained a fractured jaw in the attack.
The MP was subsequently arrested and charged with assault at Old Kampala Police Station under file number SD/44/17/09/2012 before being transferred to Kampala Central Police Station (CPS) where he spent a night.
