“We have not talked to Kabaziguruka yet. We do not know where he is because he was just abducted by the CMI,” said Wafula.
Prosecution alleges that Kabaziguruka and his accomplices – Fredrick Namara, George Turyagorora, John Karebe, all residents of Ntungamo district, this year mobilised arms and combatants from different parts of Uganda to topple the government of President Yoweri Museveni.
Turyagororwa is the Headmaster of Kizinga Primary School in Ntungamo. The quartet is accused of forming a rebel group named Revolutionary Forces for the Liberation of Uganda (RFLU) to cause a violent regime change.
The Nakawa Chief Magistrate, Patrick Wekesa, set September 25 as the date for the mention of the case.
Security sources say investigations into the matter are under way and more suspects would be arrested.
