medications geneva; color: black;”>This committee is chaired by Speaker Rebecca Kadaga and approved by ministers Frank Tumwebaze, Richard Todwong, Gabriel Ajedra Aridru and Ernest Kiiza.

Prof. Kabwegyere’s rejection was because of his age and the fact that he had opposed the Domestic Relations Bill that was later split into the Marriage and Divorce Bill.

Before this appointment Prof. Kabwegyere of 71 years was the minister for Relief, Refugees and Disaster Preparedness.

But today they decided to appoint him following his apology for the statement he said criticizing the Democratic Relations Bill.

However, the committee has rejected the appointment of Kayunga Women MP Idah Erios Nantaba as the junior minister of Lands over issues of morality and the fact that she has been disrespectful to the appointments committee.

Although the committee accepted her academic qualifications, she couldn’t get the ministerial position.

The vetting of Dorothy Hyuha as Ugandan ambassador to Tanzania is pending awaiting consultations while the appointment of Suzan Adong as Ugandan Ambassador to Canada has been turned down for lack of experience and sufficient academic papers.
