This is the second time Nantaba’s ministerial appointment is being rejected.
The same committee last week refused to approve Nantaba’s selection, citing her inadequate academic credentials.
The matter was referred to the Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB), which according to Nantaba, confirmed she had all the necessary academic particulars.
President Yoweri Museveni reportedly telephoned Parliament Speaker Rebecca Kadaga during the weekend to ensure Nantaba is cleared to enable her resume her duties.
However, upon arrival at Parliament today, Nantaba was told that her case was still surrounded by controversies.
She was told to wait for communication on when to meet the committee.
Addressing journalists outside Parliament, Nantaba threatened to petition the President to reign in on the committee.
She also cited political witch-hunt by his political rivals such as former spy chief, Brig. Henry Tumukunde, who are hell bent on denying her a chance to serve the nation.
