On Tuesday morning, Kabaziguruka was driven back to his house for another search.
His whereabouts remain unclear.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Ibin Ssenkumbi said he was “totally green” about the incident.
He advised us to telephone Deputy Police publicist Vincent Ssekate but his mobile phone was too busy for our calls.
Police spokesperson Judith Nabakooba also said she was not aware about the alleged arrest.
“Let me crosscheck and get back to you,” Nabakooba told our investigations desk.
She had not responded by the time we posted this story.
FDC Spokesperson Wafula Oguttu’s mobile phone was switched off while the party administrator Wycliffe Bakandonda could hardly pick our calls.
Last year, security arrested Kabaziguruka and detained him at Jinja Road Police station for two days, saying they were searching for “weapons.”
According to FDC sources who preferred anonymity, as they were not authorized to speak to press, Kabaziguruka survived arrest during the Kasese district municipality by-elections.
“Kabaziguruka kept dodging security men during the by-election,” recounts a source.
The FDC top shot’s known mobile phones were switched off.
