Nsereko to come to CPS on Thursday this week and answer questions of Bank fraud,” said Ssenkumbi.
“We have been investigating this fraud case at Crane Bank for long because it’s not limited to Uganda. It involves transactions from so many countries,” said Ssenkumbi.
He turned down requests to shed more light on the particulars of the investigation.
Police last Wednesday grilled three Crane Bank officials at Kampala Central Police Station in connection with aiding the alleged fraudulent transfer of Shs300m through Western Union to Nsereko.
It also emerged that Nsereko had failed to honour a debt in the same bank.
Nsereko was not readily available for comment but in an interview with Chimpreports last week, the legislator denied the allegations, saying they were a handiwork of his political enemies.
Police undercover operatives last week trailed and briefly detained Nsereko for reportedly mobilizing thugs to storm Crane Bank.
