2011 sevens champions MTN heathens will kick the defence of their title this weekend in Entebbe when they play Boks in one of the games at Entebbe Mongers Rugby Grounds.

The teams expected to take part in this year’s tournament are MTN Heathens, Utl Kobs, Toyota Buffalos, Rhinos, Entebbe Mongers, Pirates, Nile, Makerere Impis summer camps among others

Alex Mubiru the captain of Heathens told Chimp Sport that nothing will stop them from defending their title.

Mubiru said that with experienced players like Romano Ogwal, Alex Mubiru , Evans kingasia, Faisal Gama Michel Wochorach Jude Kerimundu and Benson Kizza.

The tournament received a boost on Thursday from Eco Back who injected in SHS 20 Million into the tournament.

The winning team in the tournament will walk away with a cash prize of Shs2m and a trophy, while the runners up will bag Shs1m and the 2nd runner up Shs500,000.

Meanwhile, the MVP the overall Most Valuable Player (MVP) will receive Shs500, 000with the circuit’s MVP circuit will receive Shs200,000.
